Flanged Immersion Cartridge Heater heaters are designed for heating water and other liquids. Stainless steel flanges are a convenient mounting method to position a heater within an application. The high watt density capabilities of this heater permit greater heat dissipation in a given area than would a tubular immersion heater. For water heating, watt densities of several hundred watts per square inch are possible; oil heating may be limited to 5 to 20 watts per square inch. A single threaded pipe fitting is attached to the end of a cartridge heater to allow for installation into a threaded hole. This mounting option, available with many terminations, can also be offset from the lead end of the sheath. This option is useful when the lead wires need to be kept away from the heated area.These cartridge heaters are designed as an exact replacement for an OEM application.
